Our next guest in The Rendezvous Series is none other than the super-talented and creative Preetinder! She’s a fabulous artist based out of Vancouver, Canada, and I’m so excited to welcome her to this series. Get to know about Preet’s journey, her sources of inspiration, her favourite supplies and lots more.

We’ll also be diving into the magical world of flourishing where we’ll start from the very basics and gradually advance. Flourishing is such an amazing touch and instantly elevates your calligraphy and takes you to the the next level.

Hi there!

I’m Tishya Pansari, a 18 year old aspiring business and finance student with an immeasurable passion for calligraphy, who is trying to build the world’s largest and most supportive platform for calligraphers (and also on a journey to reach her highest potential.)

I picked up my first calligraphy nib 8 years ago when I took lessons from a local instructor. 2 years later when I joined Instagram, I discovered that everything that I had learnt was incorrect. This incident led me to realise that there are many issues that arise out of the information failure, such as lack of awareness, premature abandonment and lack of support.

There are more issues, and I found the only solution to this problem. The answer is a real community.

In 2021, The Calligraphy Square, was born with this mission to build a strong, supportive group of calligraphers that embody “community over competition.”

I don’t want a high follower count. My goal is that from the second one picks up that nib for the first time, they aren’t alone in their journey. They have the correct role models to look up to and a supportive group of peers. I want to deliver value to every single one of you!

I’ve given my heart and soul into building this platform. Would you believe me when I say that we’ve gotten over 2000 event registrations?

Over the years, I also took my passion a notch further and created a new company, “Tishya Pansari”, and introduced professional services under that. I love being able to play a small role in occasions and gifting. We render a wide variety of services like on-sites, engraving, signages, etc. I also began my journey in design, and I create invites for every occasion, birth announcements, and a lot more. The most recent addition where you’ve given us such an overwhelming response is our personalised stationery, which is flying off the shelves, and we’re so grateful for all the love.

One of my favourite pieces that I’ve worked will probably always be this calligraphy framed artwork that we made a client of ours. Her daughter’s favourite book is The Secret Garden so we picked a part of it and wrote it in copperplate calligraphy.

The challenge was to write it in a spiral composition. After a bit of trial and error, I think it’s safe to say that we aced it because our client LOVED it. I love working on such projects that ask us to look beyond what’s normal and do something that’s different and challenges us.

Looking forward to working on many more such projects in 2026!

We see and hear birds all around us, but how often do we pause to really notice them? So many species are under threat including golden parakeets that are featured in these gift tags.

I wanted to use these tags to raise awareness about this and we’ll be giving a portion of the profits generated from the sales of these personalised gift tags to NGOs that help protect birds.
